Conservation

There are various professional societies which run courses from time to time although it should be pointed out that most courses are geared for time served conservators. These websites are updated when new courses become available:

For training opportunities in documenting your collection consult the Scottish Museums Council’s website (details given above) or refer to the Museums Documentation Association's training service.

The Museum Training Institute advises on specific conservation, heritage and museum courses. It also holds a database listing all major UK programmes of study.
