Burns Bedroom

The larger of the two bedrooms, it most probable that Jean Armour Burns, the poet’s wife, would have occupied this room when heavily pregnant. Burns’ small study is annexed to this room.

Burns scratched his name on the study window most probably with a diamond stylus or a ring. From this room Burns would have a degree of privacy but still enjoy watching the comings and goings of townspeople in the street below.
